Everyone is impressed that Mozart could write this piece at such a young age, but what strikes me even more is the key of G minor: just stop for a while and remember what “G minor” means in Mozart, then get back to this piece and think about when it was written.
There is no “repeat” sign in the original but I still had the urge to repeat it once, variated with an albertinian bass line. I wrote this bass line totally “by eye” and I felt it didn’t need any correction after listening to it.
The youtube video is in the original key of G minor; on IMSLP I also posted transposed recordings one half-tone above (G# minor) and below (F# minor), just for kicks.
